    How it works

    How the daily puzzle works

    • Every day at midnight UTC a new secret number between 1 and 1,000 appears.
    • Everyone in the world gets the same number.
    • You get one attempt per day. If you close the tab, your progress is saved.
    • Fewer guesses ranks higher on the global board, and the faster time breaks ties.
    • Share your result and see if your friends can beat it.

    What is a good score?

    Perfect play always finds the number in 10 guesses or fewer, because 2 to the power of 10 is 1,024. Anything under 10 means some luck went your way. Learn the method on the binary search page.

    No. Each device gets one attempt per day, so the board stays fair. You can keep playing Solo as much as you like.
